No Obsticles

BlindManPhotoAs I was out today, I was parked in my car and watched as a blind young man was out on a power walk. What I found interesting was the mechanics of what he was doing. His instrument, of course, was the white stick with the red tip. He was working it to and fro with a very rhythmic beat. He was using the curb as his check and balance for keeping his path on course.

His obstacles in this medium were the parked cars and trash receptacles left at the curb side for pick up. As I watched him navigate, I noticed that he was very adept and his pace suggested experience. As he got closer, I watched him detect the car in front of me a trash bin, next came the vehicle I was in.

Never a flaw nor slowing of pace. Next came the car behind mine about 2 houses down. This time, however, he missed detecting the car and came to an abrupt halt. But this I observed seemed no obstacle at all to him. He simply stepped back, took a baring with his stick and adeptly went around to continue on his way. And with quite a confident stride, I must say!

As I watched all this, I was reminded that the road for us is always there. Ever present in our journey to where ever we are going. However, there are obstacles that will be in our way. Sometimes we navigate them just fine and at others, we have to stop (sometimes rather abruptly), backup and go around what ever it is that was in our way. Regardless of the hindrances, we must go on. Life itself demands it.

A seed unless dead and infertile has no choice but to grow. The only thing different would be the road in which it has to accomplish its task. In this instance, the road is the soil in which it is planted. Good soil, poor soil, rocky soil and even sometimes no soil of which to really speak of. All it knows is that it is to grow and multiply. Should it be anything else with us? We are to grow and multiply. How we grow and multiply is up to each of us.

My soil is internet marketing. My seed is my business. I must grow and reach duplication if I am to survive. How I achieve this duplication will dictate how fast I am to grow and how strong I will be. Obstacles should not be reason I quit or abandon the journey. I will instead, use those same obstacles as education on the way and help others as they face the same challenges I myself have already faced.
